About the trip 01 / 06

We have been going north for twelve years and know it without the gloss. This route is built so that you see three different Arctics: the volcanic Icelandic one, the oceanic one and the icy Greenlandic one — and feel how they differ.

Nothing will be left for you to decide. Flights, the vessel, landing permits, guides, lodging and food are brought together into one route. The group is eight people: that is how many fit into a boat among the icebergs, around a table in a settlement and into a helicopter over the ice sheet.

Frequent questions 06 / 06

A Schengen visa with a separate endorsement for Greenland is required. We give you the list of documents, the hotel booking and the route sheet, check the form before you submit it and tell you which consular centre to go to.

Five to eight kilometres a day on foot over rocks and paths, with no ropes and no climbing. If you can walk an hour on uneven ground without trouble, you will be fine. Participants from the age of 14.

On the coast from +2 to +12; on the water it feels colder because of the wind. The membrane suits and life jackets are ours; the warm middle layer is yours — a month before departure we send a kit list with brands and weights.

The crossing of the strait takes two days and there can be a swell. There are tablets and patches aboard, and the route can be done in a lighter version — flying instead of sailing, 150,000 ₽ less.

In Reykjavík and Ilulissat, ordinary mobile internet. On the passage and in the small settlements there is none: the guide has a satellite phone in case you need to call home.
